About our business
WMSG has been established since 1934. The grounds are situated just 13 miles North of Telford in the heart of Shropshire. The ground itself has the appeal of the finest golf course; a maze of beautifully maintained paths lead you to the 80 plus stands, boasting over 200 clay pigeon traps of the finest sporting targets on offer in the UK today.
WMSG is justly famous for its high standard of personnel tuition, our instructors are well used to passing on their expertise to shooting parties, whether they be corporate or private shoots, or to an experienced shot or complete novice. We offer a selection of packages for non SGC holders ranging from 1-3 people and 4 + people. For SGC holders we can tailor a sporting session for your party’s requirements and abilities.
The Scandinavian log cabin was the first of its kind on a shooting ground in Britain, built in 1984. Having served the business well for 30 years, it has recently been extended to cope with the growing business. With 3 function rooms (seating up to 100), large gun shop, open café and restaurant.
