Create my profile now!William Bond was an English Thetford Norfolk based gunmaker recorded as having premises at Old Market 1821: Saint Magdalen Street 1829-1850 & Market Place 1852-69 (see page 85 of English Gunmakers by Bailey & Nie). This a good English percussion pocket pistol by Bond. It is 7 ½”overall with a 3” screw off barrel. The barrel’s smooth bore has staining & residue consistent with age and use. The action and barrel have crisp English proofs. Its action is decorated with foliate panels. The action tang has faint rubbed name ‘Bond Thetford’. Its original bag shaped wood grip is undamaged. The trigger guard is decorated with a stylised star motif. The weapon cocks and dry fires crisply. The price includes UK delivery.
