Description
~ Circa 1680 English Hanger Sword ~
The blade is single edged and bears a deeply struck armourers mark of a Kings head to both sides. It has a brass guard with a stag horn grip. It is more likely a hunting piece than a military one as the blade is slender.
~ Condition ~
Please refer to the images for the condition. The guard is firm, the grip has a tiny amount of play. The very tip of the blade is a little bent. A good solid piece.
~ Dimensions ~
The sword is 66 cm (26 inches) in total length with a 52 cm (20.5 inches) blade.
