Here we have a sleepy, untouched example of a Hanovarian hanger sword. They were first issued to the Hanovarian Grenadiers in around 1727 but still used in the U.S. War Of Independence.
The brass hilt has the Hanovarian horse to the guard to reflect their King, there are also King's crowns to both sides of the pommel.
~ Condition ~
Please refer to the images for the condition. The hilt and grip are a little loose. The grips brass wiring is complete but a little loose at the top. There are numerous nicks to the leading edge of the blade from sword fighting.
~ Dimensions ~
The sword is 83 cm (32.5 inches) in total length with a 70 cm (27.5 inches) blade.
