Description

Selling 3 Replica Bayonets.

WW1 Mauser M1898-02 Sawback Bayonet.

This model was introduced in 1898 but modified in 1902 for use with the Mauser rifle 1898. The sawback version was originally issued to pioneer, engineers and some infantry soldiers to cut trees and help build defences.

In the trenches during the first part of WW1 they proved useful in repairing and maintaining trenches. French and British troops were reported to be shooting any soldier caught with a sawback bayonet as they thought they caused inhumane injuries.

So the Imperial German high command ordered all M1898-2 saw back bayonets to be ground down to remove the saw edge which meant that originals are now hard to find.

This M1898-02 Mauser bayonet comes with the early leather and brass scabbard and in replica form hard to get hold of.

Lengh = 62cm's.

K98 Bayonet with Sheath. Fibre grip

Replica German WW2 K98 rifle Bayonet, Fibre grips, Steel scabard, working locking lugs.

British N05 Mk2 Jungle Carbine Bayonet

This is the Mk2 model with 2 bolts holding on the wood grips and the scabbard is also the second model with a brass neck.

Lengh = 32cm's.
