A nice tight working example of a provincial 12 bore damascus barrelled nitro proved shotgun, over a century old but still shoots nd functions perfectly, with clean bores a nicely balanced gun with highly figured walnut stock, most likely made for live pigeon shooting scene in the early 1880's, it features a Cogswell and Harrison wing fastener style fore end, and stanton back action locks. A robust well made gun with worn foliate engraving on both locks, usual marks on the barrel and stock through 130 plus years of handling. Comes with a copy of a photo of the retailer and silversmith it was originally sold from. Would make a good hunting gun, as it handles heavy .36gram loads.
