The Crossbow

The Man Kung Hound 175lb Recurve Rifle Crossbow (Wiki Link) (MK-XB27GODC) is a more traditional approach to crossbows than some of the ultra-modern compound versions. The main difference being the recurve limb. Instead of the elaborate compound cam and cable system in the more modern style bows, this one features a single limb with outward curved tips. Known as a recurve bow, this has the distinct benefit of being user replaceable. You will be able to restring this bow at home. Don’t be fooled into thinking it’s easy – but it is possible.

This is an elegant tool with skeletonized, lightweight design. It’s been created as durable as possible with strong aluminium components and the polymer pistol grip and adjustable stock. You can adjust both the stock and the foregrip to your liking with just a click or a couple of screws.

As with a lot of recurve bows, the limb is also detachable, which means this crossbow can be disassembled for easier transportation. It also includes a foot stirrup that helps you load the bow. Though as with all powerful compounds, we always recommend using a cocking rope which makes the process a whole lot easier.

As with all powerful crossbows, a safe range and an immensely strong backstop is a must. Due to it’s power this bow can and will shoot through fences, bushes and other non-solid barriers!

The Weight

At 2.3kg in weight, this is one of the lighter crossbows that we sell. Which may be a consideration for some. Especially in consideration of it being disassemble-able for transport. That said, it feels incredibly strong and easy to aim. The frame’s skeletonisation contributes to both looks and the lower weight construction nicely.

The Colour

This is the woodland camo version of the Hound Recurve Crossbow. It’s constructed from a black aluminium barrel and rails with black pistol grip, foregrip and adjustable stock. It also includes camo coloured polymer frame and recurve limb. Great for shooting in the great outdoors, adhering to all UK laws.
