Original, WW2 1943 Dated British 3rd Pattern 'D-Day' Camouflaged Paratroopers Jump Helmet By BMB With Camo Netting, Liner & Webbing Chin Strap. Sn 20714 - 20714

This is an excellent, original, complete, WW2 1943 dated 3rd Pattern British Paratroopers Jump Helmet. 3rd pattern Jump Helmets were manufactured from 1943 and featured a manganese steel shell with webbing liner & leather chin cup. This pattern of helmet 1st saw action on June 6th 1944 for the Normandy Invasion (see page 93 of For King & Country By Glenn). This helmet has no denting and is complete with correct liner & chinstrap. It has most of its original rough texture green and brown Camo paint. The leather sweatband is date stamped '1943' together with manufacturer's mark 'BMB' and size '7’. The helmet is fitted with its original Camo netting.
