A fine and rare 18th-19th Century Indian sword Tulwar with Bronze floral inlay to the iron hilt, very interesting blade markings and a 31 inch curved blade. The grip, knuckle-guard and large disc pommel all made of iron with much bronze overlaid embossed decoration. The blade has a panel of calligraphy near to the hilt showing an unusual maker's cartouche, (please see photos). Blade is approx 31 inches long. The hilt fitted with a knuckle-guard. This sword could be 18th century. A very unusual and interesting Indian sword with a nice clean blade showing unusual blade marks. Overall length approx 35 inches. In good un-cleaned condition.
