The Relum Repietier has a rifled barrel and measures 38 ½ “ long with a wooden stock bearing a brass medallion with a circular ‘Repietier’ and ‘Cal 4.5’ around the outside and a bow, the arrow points upwards. The serial No is stamped to the left hand side of the barrel ‘567’. Relum was actually the name of the London-based importer whose products originated in Eastern Europe. Early Relum models, all break-barrel varieties, originated in Czechoslovakia but the later Tornado pistol was made in Hungary by manufacturer Artex. The wooden stock is in good condition only showing minor age related scratches. The metalwork retains the majority of its blueing with marks to the top of the barrel, near the cocking mechanism and the pivot screw. See page 189 of ‘Air Rifles’ a collectors guide by Dennis E. Hillier. The rifle cocks and fires perfectly with a strong spring action, firing at 1.70 ft/lbs. Price includes UK delivery.
