Specially Commissioned 1941 Hitler Youth Knife, With Deer Antler Grip. Daggers

A customer brought both, this dagger and the SS dagger into my shop to sell, as he does not wish to have these controversial items in his home, even though they have been handed down through the family.

The Customer stated that the Hitler Youth dagger, was specially commissioned by his father, of whom the SS Dagger, in my other ad, belonged, his father being a high ranked NAZI. You will not find another Antler Horned 1941 Dagger, world wide, as the Antler Handled Youth Daggers were an Olympic Edition, ending in 1939.

A VERY VERY Rare Piece of History

Hilt form: Beaked pommel in nickel-plated steel. Two-piece grips in Antler Horn, secured to tang by two steel rivets. Inset within the right grip is the diamond-shaped Hitler Youth emblem - black swastika on diamond-shaped copper ground overlying the red and white enamel ground of the larger background diamond. Nickel-plated back piece and cross guard, the squared-off top of the latter extends only 5 mm above back of tang. Lower crossguard is formed into a short back swept quillon terminating in a modestly flared finial blade form : broad single-edged hunting-style blade with demi-spear point. A thick leather washer is located at base of blade. Blade (right flat) finish: etched inscription in flowing script - "Blut und Ehre!" (Related items: scabbard with integral belt loop)
