Create my profile now!This is an original WW1 era, British Officer's 1912 pattern Sword & Scabbard. The sword has a 35 ½” single edged blade with fuller (43" overall). The blade has just light areas of staining consistent with age and is etched with Royal Cypher, Crown 'GR' (George Rex) & foliate decorative panels on both sides. The spine of the blade is numbered ‘02374’ which may assist to date the manufacture / commission of this sword. The ricasso is marked with ordnance quality star and inlaid proof roundel on one side and the reverse ‘Army & Navy Cooperative Society 106 Victoria St London SW’. The blade is also fitted with original leather hilt washer. The full knuckle guard is decorated with a foliate design and it has a stepped ornate pommel. Its shagreen grip with wire binding is in superb condition. The sword is complete with its plated steel scabbard. The scabbard has no dents and 2 hanging rings. The price includes UK delivery.
