About our business
Situated in the heart of the Cotswolds, a short drive from Cirencester or Malmesbury, on the Wiltshire/Gloucestershire border, we have a custom built 100m centrefire range, along with the UK’s first custom built 40m Running Boar range.
We are both LANTRA and BASC approved, with a Home Office-approved club on site. We specialise in tuition for any standard of sporting rifle shooter, from basic rifle handling and DSC1 to driven boar and dangerous game.
Established in 2008, we have a unique venue in the South West, one of the most prolific deer stalking areas in England. At Corinium Rifle Range, we provide facilities for the sporting rifle shooter to set up, zero, practice and train with rifles in a safe and controlled environment.
CEO and Club Chairman Paul Hill, a professional stalker and deer manager with over 30 years of experience, designed the range to provide a one-stop shop for Stalkers - a zeroing and practice facility, training in all aspects of sporting rifle shooting, as well as providing training for the DSC Level 1 & 2. We also have the UK’s first custom-built running boar range and have quickly have established ourselves as the UK’s number one driven game trainer.
CRR has established itself as the only private facility to offer all these services in one place and has a professional reputation for delivering the highest quality training.
Our no-nonsense and practical approach has gained us support from some of the industries biggest names, including Sauer, Blaser, Swarovski, Aimpoint and Fjallraven. Paul is still one of only a handful of Swarovski Pro Stalkers, as well as being the only Aimpoint Shooting Academy instructor in the UK.
All targets are provided, being either custom paper zeroing targets or special reactive ballistic steel targets of life size Roe deer, Boar and Fox as well as smaller targets for more defined shot placement, ideal for training purposes enabling the shooter to accurately gauge correct shot placement and aid rapid target acquisition. The range is cleared up to 5160FtLbs (7000J) with no velocity restrictions, allowing us to cater for even the heaviest calibres.
