The sturdy parring dagger has a running wolf armourers mark to the blade on both sides, with an additional one of the ricassos. The swordsmiths name is in Latin to the slim, short fullers, again on both sides. The heavy hexagonal pommel has soldiers to each side. The grip is of tightly bound steel wire.
We date it to around 1600 to 1650 AD.
~ Condition ~
Please refer to the images for the condition. It is in tidy condition, some pitting towards the blade tip and all parts are firm. A very fine example.
~ Dimensions ~
The piece has a total length of 66 cm (26 inches) with a 49 cm (19.25 inches) blade length.
