INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an American drill round for (30x173) GAU-8 7 barrelled Gatling aircraft gun fitted to the Republic A10 tank buster aircraft, produced from 1977 and is capable of firing 4,200 rounds per minute. The alloy cartridge case has an brass coloured lacquered finish with some wear to the case mouth. The steel projectile has a wide nylon driving bands and appears to have a dummy alloy fuse. The projectile is held by a long allen bolt through the primer pocket. There is no headstamp to the cartridge case. No licence is required to retain this inert round in the UK if retained as part of a collection or display. Price includes UK delivery. O 1580
