**INERT** DEACTIVATED** This is an excellent, original, WW2, British Mills No.36M MK 1, hand and rifle grenade. The 36M refers to the pattern of Grenade 36 M originally 'Mesopotamia' and the fact they were waterproofed. The casing of the grenade has its original lacquer finish. The alloy base plug is marked 'No 36M Mk 1’ and 40 (1940 date) together with manufacturer ‘W & Co Ld’ (W. Ayrton & Co Ltd). It has an alloy filler plug. The grenade has its original ring with pin, spring & striker. The casing has matching manufacturer mark ‘W & Co’ and the lever is stamped by the maker ‘SG & Co’ (Stourbridge Glazed Brick & Fireclay Co). The price includes UK delivery. O 1660
