Create my profile now!The pattern 1907, MK 1, Bayonet with hooked Quillon was approved on 30th January 1908 (see page 186 of British & Commonwealth Bayonets By Skennerton). This Enfield made Mark 1 bayonet made in 1911 before the great war started has a nice, clean, blade, which is stamped on the ricasso 'King’s Crown, 1907 (pattern) ‘1 ‘11 (January 1911 date) together with 'EFD' (Enfield) manufacturer mark, WD arrow and inspection marks. The pommel and cross guard with correct hook quillon are in excellent undamaged condition. The pommel's release button functions as it should. The pommel is Regiment or Unit marked ‘SNR’ (unknown). The slab wood grips are undamaged and secured by the correct screw bolts. The bayonet’s leather scabbard has steel throat mount with locket and chape. All leather & stitching are clean & intact.
