A rare British Military style Flintlock Pistol, the lock-plate engraved TRULOCK, dating from just before the time of the Napoleonic Wars. Circa 1780-1815. The brass lock plate engraved with the makers name TRULOCK. The 9 inch barrel stamped with British proof marks and very faint military markings - RA?? 11 D ?. Brass trigger guard, standard brass military pattern side plate, brass butt-cap and ramrod pipe. Large brass oval escutcheon fitted into the rear of grip, engraved with the number 5. Calibre approx .70 cal. Crisp working action. Length approx 16 inches. In good condition showing some minor wear and genuine use. A rare pistol. Ref 1008.
