Circa 1770-1790. The woodwork with a good aged patina. The lock plate engraved with the makers name CLARKE. The brass barrel engraved on top BRISTOL TO LONDON. (This indicates that it was most likely carried on the Bristol to London mail coach in this period.) Brass trigger guard and butt plate. Complete with a brass tipped wooden. Barrel length is 15 inches. Overall length 30 inches. The lock in good working condition. The barrel engraving is worn but easily legible, otherwise in good untouched condition. Ref 1650.
