A very scarce British Military New Land pattern officer's Flintlock Pistol. Circa 1830-1837. Marked on the lock-plate TOWER CROWN W.R. and a broad arrow. This pistol is one made by the British arsenal at the Tower of London after the Napoleonic wars and during the reign of King William IV, Circa 1830-37. The 9 inch barrel stamped with a London proof mark. Regulation brass military butt cap, side plate, trigger guard,ramrod pipe and fore-end pipe. Steel captive swivel ram rod. The word EGG GH stamped into the wooden stock. Overall length 15 inches. Extremely crisp action with a strong spring. In very good overall condition.
