This pistol was manufactured at one of the French Military arsenals during the mid 19th century. Brass military skull-crusher butt-cap, matching military brass trigger-guard. Complete with a steel ramrod. Approx .72 calibre. Overall length 15 inches. Worn and well used condition and in working order. This model of French military pistol are known to have been shipped in large quantities from France to the Southern states of America during the U.S. Civil War (circa 1862-1865).
