Grip wire is complete as is the fish skin grip, both original and intact. Double edged blade length 32 inches. Some faint engraving to blade, otherwise no visible markings. Completely untouched piece. This sword, although probably manufactured circa 1830-1860 is very similar to basket-hilt swords that were carried 100 years earlier at the Battle of Culloden in 1746.
