A superb cavalry sword of the Napoleonic period. This pattern sword was originally made for the tall and fierce Cuirassiers of Napoleon's Grand Armee and is the same pattern cavalry sword carried during the battle of Waterloo in June of 1815. Complete in its original steel scabbard with two hanging rings. A very scarce sword and unusual for this pattern sword to still retain its original leather grip covering. Blade length 37 inches. Overall length in scabbard 46 inches. Overall in good condition. Ref 3598.
