A superb British 1796 Light Cavalry officer's sabre of the type carried at the Battle of Waterloo, and throughout the Peninsular Wars and Napoleonic campaigns. Complete with it's original steel scabbard and white leather sword knot. Original fish skin covered grip with correct grip wire binding. This sword has a superbly decorated blue and gilt blade that is in like new condition. This sword would have been carried by an officer. Very good condition. We rarely see blades in this exceptional condition. Overall length 39 inches.
