Manufactured in Germany Circa 1937, just prior to WWII, and modelled on the German P.08 Luger.
Not many of these pistols were manufactured this pistols serial number is 678 making it a scarce example.
This particular pistol is in excellent original condition.
The blueing on the barrel and action is in very good order showing little signs of wear.
The plastic grips, which are particularly fragile and prone to damage, are in very good order.
The barrel is stamped ‘KAL 4 1/2 mm Cal .177’ with ‘Venus Waffenwerk Zella -Mehlis’ to the left side and ‘Tell Mod 3 with the figure, of believed, William Tell holding in an air rifle stamped on the top of the air chamber.
The ‘TELL’ trademark medallions are set on both sides of the grips.
The pistol cocks and fires without issues.
It is complete with its original and extremely rare cardboard packaging. The box the lid has the ‘William Tell’ trademark the outline of a Tell 3 Pistol and the wording ‘TELL 3. The inside of the lid has a pasted label showing the instructions for use of the pistol. The box contains a round card box of .177 calibre pellets, cleaning brush, small oil bottle and a cleaning duster.
A superb example of this rare Pre Second World War manufactured German Air Pistol a great addition to any collection.
