~ WW2 Era 1938 Dated Moisin-Nagant Rifle with Sling & Bayonet ~

The 3-line rifle M1891, colloquially known in the West as Mosin-Nagant and in Russia and former Soviet Union as Mosin’s rifle, is a five-shot, bolt-action, internal magazine-fed military rifle. It is primarily found chambered for its original 7.62×54mmR cartridge.

Developed from 1882 to 1891, it was used by the armed forces of the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union, and various other nations. It is one of the most mass-produced military bolt-action rifles in history with over 37 million units having been made since 1891. In spite of its age, it has been used in various conflicts around the world up to the present day.

A very well-marked Mosin-Nagant, serial numbered 1314 on the chamber, magazine, and stock. The bolt is serial numbered 4182.

On the chamber, there are a variety of proof marks. BNP is stamped on the chamber and the bolt.

There are a number of factory and arsenal marks throughout the chamber. The communist symbol is stamped also.

The left side of the chamber reads “7.62 M/M R Smooth 2.12″ 49 GRS N.C. 148 GRS Bullet”.

The deactivation symbol is stamped on the right side of the chamber.

The cleaning rod is secured.

The bayonet has some markings and is serial numbered 3F6027.

The sling is unmarked and made from canvas and leather.

~ Condition ~

The ladder sight and magazine flap are functioning and the action cycles.

The metalwork is free from rust and pitting.
