The SA 80 rifle was first adopted by the British Army in 1985. This is an early British service pack of 1987 dated 5.56mm drill rounds for the SA 80 rifle. The rounds have a full copper jacket and nickel chromed brass cartridge cases with a red painted bind primer pocket. The rounds are headstamped RG 87 (RoF Radway Green dated 1986). The rounds are in excellent condition and are complete in their original buff cardboard service pack which has printed on a white label 20 RDS 5.56mm DRILL). There are 19 rounds in the box.
