This is an elegant Balkans / Turkish Ottoman flintlock pistol. It is 20 ¼”overall with a 13” steel barrel. The barrel’s smooth bore has staining and residue consistent with age and use. The barrel has a blade fore sight and shallow groove rear sight. It has its original full wood stock ornately decorated with silver escutcheons & silver wire inlays. The wood is excellent, carved with foliate decoration. It has a steel cock fitted with flint, pan with hinged frizzen and foliate engraved lock plate. The cocking & firing actions work. There are no external maker or date marks on the pistol. The price for this attractive piece includes UK delivery.
