The LP2 was Walther’s first commercial success with a single stroke target pistol. It was produced from 1967 through to 1972. If there was there ever an LP1 it if so it didn’t last long enough to be officially recognised or to enter the market. The LP2 was replaced in 1973 by the LP 3 that remained in the Walther line-up until 1985. To pump the pistol, a lever is pulled down and back. It withdraws the piston and cocks the action at the end of the stroke. The metalwork retains almost all of its original finish *see images*. The Walther scroll along with ‘LP Mod 2’ Carl Walther Ulm/Do is marked to the left hand side of the barrel and serial No- 13199 Made in Germany to the other. The original plastic chequered grips are un-damaged and intact. The pistol is accompanied by a Walther deluxe velour lined leatherette display/carry case. The pistol also comes with some beautiful Walnut custom made competition grips. The pistol cocks and fires with a strong action. The price for this rare to find pistol includes UK delivery.
