This is a Sporterised Steyr 1898 .303 Calibre Bolt Action Rifle in excellent condition. The woodwork and metal work of this weapon are in excellent condition. The wood work has chequered panels at the pistol grip wrist and fore stock and polished horn fore end cap. The stock has a steel butt plate with trap. The rifle has a block & blade fore sight and Graduated 100-300 Yards 3 Leaf Sights with silver aiming lines. The breech frame is crisply marked ‘Steyr 1898’. The trigger guard is numbered 21872 and B2710. The barrel is marked ‘Shot & Examined By Holland & Holland 98 New Bond St London’. Deactivated to UK specification in 2005 the weapon cocks and dry fires. The price includes deactivation certificate and UK delivery. D 1485
