This Whitney Navy revolver 2nd model fourth type is, given its age in really excellent working condition. It has a very even overall patina with a very good bore which does have a small area of internal pitting commensurate with its age. Nipples are fine with no mushrooming. Grips are very good with a small amount of oil staining. Cylinder is also very good and rotates and locks well. The rammer does have some light pitting as shown on the photos. A very fine example of an American Civil War Revolver.
Were this a Colt then it would be 3 times the price! Overall one of the best models of this revolver I have seen.
